Every cuisine has unique flavor and spices. Trying different cuisine connects you to another world. Mexican food has many spices and natural flavors, topped with a variety of savory sauces. These delicious sauces add a tangy, creamy touch to already flavorful Mexican dishes. Mexican dishes include items from every food group such as protein, grains and vegetables for their special meal. like avocados, tomatoes, peppers and limes. What i find that Mexican dishes has some common ingredient for their dishes like tortilla, beans, vegetables or meat with spices served with guacamole or salsa, still there is some difference that makes every dish special. Check out some of popular Mexican delicacies that I love to savor.
One of most popular Mexican dish is burrito. It is personalized to suit all flavors wrapped into a closed cylinder shape. Where the tortilla is simply folded around the fillings such as Spanish rice or plain rice, boiled beans or re-fried beans, lettuce, salsa, meat, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and various vegetables.. A larger burrito is a full meal in itself.
A Mexican bowl has the best of everything. The layers of fresh ingredients and spices such as rice, beans, vegetables with craziest flavors. Indeed it is delicious and healthy idea to opt for hunger. This bowl is just an another form of burrito in a bowl without tortilla wrap. Must check out this bowl at Qdoba or Chipotle, You will love it’s creamy and tasty flavors.
A taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. Tacos are generally a lighter snack or meal, good for light hunger or snacks purpose. A taco is made with a variety of fillings that include cheese, meat if you love, otherwise vegetables or any other protein option in a shell that can either be a soft or hard.
The savory Nachos…. It’s the best kind of Mexican snack or appetizer. The creamy melted cheese served on crunchy tortilla chips with variety of vegetables, beans, guacamole, species and tangy salsa. More elaborate versions of the dish add some other ingredients that sometimes may be substantial enough to serve as a main dish.
Anyone love the little cheese thing… You will love it. It’s super delicious and healthy choice. Just some another type of taco, made with two tortillas that hold a layer of cheese between them with some meats (If you want), beans, vegetables, spices, then cooked on a grill, stove or broiler. I have heard that in Mexico Quesadilla doesn’t always come with cheese but I had it with cheese and loved it.
The another Mexican delicacy full of creamy and cheesy flavors. An enchilada is a corn tortilla rolled around a savory fillings and covered with a chili pepper sauce. Enchiladas can be filled with a variety of ingredients like cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables or meat. The topped cheese garnishing makes it really amazing. Enchiladas can be a kind of starters or you can have it as a whole meal.
Salsa with Chips
In good Mexican restaurant it is served as complimentary starter. A rich, sweet, spicy, salty dip served with crunchy chips is really a great way to start your meal. This dip has ingredients such as roasted tomato, onion, jalapeno, coriander with salt, pepper and Mexican seasoning. This is a kind of snack item is good for small hunger.
I have always been a huge avocado fan and undoubtedly guacamole is my all time favorite. It is the first thing that comes when I think about Mexican dish. Easy to make and healthy to digest. Its creaminess makes everything delicious. This is the best spread goes with any kind of Mexican dish like veggie bowl, burrito, nachos, Tortilla, Tacos or in bread or toast as sandwich filling.
